Claudia Schwarz creates abstract worlds by combining painting with various textile crafting techniques such as tufting, embroidery, punch needle and weaving.​ To create new surfaces, vintage fabrics are often used as canvases, new designs are woven from old textiles and sensory layered textures emerge, through tufting and embroidery. The textures are winding across canvases, paper, and objects. It's an organic metamorphosis of the yarn, inspired by nature, telling its own story.​Her work offers glimpses into a world of art and crafts, where materials and crafting techniques merge into new, fascinating forms.
